Three commitments no other platform makes together

Most digital election platforms pick two out of three. Elect was designed from the ground up to provide all three simultaneously.

Provably Accurate
Every result is cryptographically verifiable. Any independent observer — including each voter — can confirm the tally is correct without the system administrator having to be trusted.
Completely Private
Zero-knowledge credentials mean the system can confirm a voter is eligible without recording how they voted. Votes are encrypted such that even the election administrator cannot see individual ballots.
Independently Verified
The election can be audited by any qualified third party without relying on the honesty of the platform provider. The cryptographic proof stands alone. We encourage independent auditors.

Zero-Knowledge Credentials
Voter eligibility
A voter can prove they are on the electoral register without revealing which entry they are. The system learns only that the voter is eligible — nothing that could link them to their ballot.
Homomorphic Encryption
Vote tallying
Votes are encrypted before casting and remain encrypted throughout tallying. The final count is decrypted once, at the end of the election, by a threshold of independent key-holders.
Shamir's Secret Sharing
Decryption keys
The election decryption key is split across multiple independent parties. Results can only be revealed when a threshold of key-holders cooperate — no single party, including us, can unilaterally open votes early.
Immutable Audit Log
Transparency
Every ballot receipt is published to a public, append-only bulletin board. Any voter can verify their own vote was included. Any auditor can verify the tally matches the bulletin board — without seeing how anyone voted.
